Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry

This stream targets highly skilled individuals who will be able to join and contribute to Nova Scotia’s economy. In order to qualify for this, the candidates must either have work experience in one of Nova Scotia’s in-demand occupations or have a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. As this program is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration system, it enables successful applicants to receive quicker processing on their applications.

Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry

This stream is targeted towards highly skilled individuals with the intention to live and work permanently in Nova Scotia. In order to qualify for this, the candidates must have experience of at least 1 year in Nova Scotia in a high skilled occupation. As this program also aligns with the federal Express Entry immigration system, it allows successful applicants to receive expedited processing on their applications.

Nova Scotia Skilled Worker

This stream allows Nova Scotia employers to recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are required in the province of Nova Scotia. The skilled worker may be able to submit an application through this stream if they receive a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.

Nova Scotia Physicians

This stream allows Nova Scotia’s physicians to nominate individuals with a valid job offer from a Nova Scotia health organization. This stream is specially designed to help public health organizations in the province address critical labour needs.

Nova Scotia Entrepreneur

This stream specifically targets experienced business owners or senior business managers who are interested to invest and manage a business in Nova Scotia. To qualify for this stream, the applicants must have a considerable net worth and must be willing to use their business management experience to purchase an existing or start a new business in Nova Scotia. The applicants may be nominated for PR once they have operated their Nova Scotia business for at least 1 year.

Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur

This stream is suitable for recent graduates of Nova Scotia universities and colleges who have bought an already-running or started a new Nova Scotia business and operated it for at least one year. In case the applicant meets the aforesaid requirements and has intentions to settle in Nova Scotia permanently, they may qualify for a provincial nomination through the Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream.

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities

This stream is meant for Express Entry candidates who have work experience in extremely high-demand positions in the province. For current high-demand positions, please get in touch with the appropriate department of the province.
