POPULAR OCCUPATIONS THAT GOT PR INVITATIONS IN MAY 2019

The PR invitations list for May 2019 is out! Let’s have a look at the results for Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) and Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489) visas invitation rounds conducted in May of 2019.

Just like in April of 2019, a total of 110 invitations were issued in the SkillSelect invitation round on May 9, 2019. A total of 10 invitations were sent for Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489) and 100 invitations were issued for Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189).

For Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189), 36 invitations were sent to clients with minimum 80 points; 37 to clients with minimum 85 points; 22 to clients with minimum 90 points; and 5 invitations were issued to clients with minimum 95 points.

For Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489), all 10 invitations were issued to clients with a minimum 85 points.

Yet again, the minimum cut-off score for both the visa subclasses was 80 points for May of 2019.

It should be noted that SkillSelect first allocates available places to Skilled – Independent visas (subclass 189) and then the remaining to Skilled – Regional (Provisional) visas (subclass 489). In case all places are taken up by subclass 189 visas, there will be no invitations issued for subclass 489 visas.

Here’s a table showing minimum points score for most popular occupations (with occupation IDs) that got invitations from December 2018 to May 2019.
