This visa allows you to stay in Australia as the guardian of an international student younger than 18 years of age studying in Australia on a student visa. For this visa, you must be the student's parent, legal guardian or relative and must have enough money to support yourself and the student during your stay.
In addition to this, you must be able to provide accommodation and other support to the student and be at least 21 years of age. Under a student guardian visa, one can stay in Australia for the same length of time as the student visa holder or until the student turns 18 years of age.
In general, this visa gets processed anywhere from 60 days to maximum of 4 months and costs AUD $560.
